Walmart is rolling out the Robots

Many retailers around the United States are using machines to scan shelves and scrub floors to keep labor costs down. This robot is what Walmart is introducing to its stores to monitor inventory, clean floors, and unload trucks. They are doing this in efforts to control labor costs because they feel they are spending too much money to raise wages. It was said that at least 300 stores will add this machine to their stores this year. In addition to saving money, this machine is cutting the amount of hours a day a human has to work. This is both good and bad because people won’t have to spend so much time at work but also lots of people will lose their jobs. Hopefully Walmart and other stores will find a way to use employees and machines without spending too much money.
