Student Cell Phone Usage At AGA

Shokhrukh Nematullaev, News Reporter

In Avant Garde Academy, phone usage is not permitted in school, according to the AGA Student Handbook.

A special exception is made for high school journalism, Speech & Debate, and Creative Writing classes. Phones can also be used during free time outside of school or during lunchtime in the cafeteria.

AGA uses multimedia as an integral part of its STEAM, science, technology, engineering, arts, and math curriculum. Students still try to sneak their phones around other classes and hallways, and when they get caught, it becomes as problem for both staff and students. It is known that most students depend on their phones for almost everything, but they should make a change fast. Rules at AGA will not be changing.
